The Employee must perform Principal Dentist (Practice Owner) duties with reasonable skill, care and professionalism, including Assess, treat or support dental patients within competence, authorisation and supervision arrangements. Maintain accurate dental clinical records, consent information, treatment notes and laboratory or referral records. Follow infection prevention, decontamination, safeguarding and patient safety procedures.
The Employee must not disclose, copy, remove, misuse or access dental records, clinical notes, treatment plans, consent information, special category health data except where authorised and necessary for proper principal dentist (practice owner) work. Any suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure must be reported promptly.
The Employee must follow the dental practice operational controls that apply to principal dentist (practice owner) work, including GDC standards where applicable, infection control, decontamination procedures, patient consent, safeguarding escalation, accurate record keeping, escalation and safe working requirements.
The Employee must protect dental records, clinical notes, treatment plans, consent information, special category health data and any related personal data, operational records, system access details or confidential information accessed while performing principal dentist (practice owner) duties.
