Day-to-day operating brief
What Blackjack Dealer work looks like in practice
A Blackjack Dealer runs assigned tables by checking equipment, shuffling or using approved devices, taking bets, dealing cards and settling outcomes. Terms should specify game variants, limits, chip handling, card security, verbal announcements, side bets, customer interaction, error correction and table rotation. The dealer follows the authorised procedure and calls supervision when a dispute or mistake occurs rather than reconstructing play privately or compensating a customer from the float. Table opening should reconcile rack inventory, discard tray, cut card and shuffle-device status before customers buy in. When a card is exposed or dealt to the wrong position, the dealer should announce the issue and preserve the sequence for the authorised procedural ruling. Insurance decisions must close before dealer cards are revealed further. Split hands, doubled stakes and surrendered wagers need distinct placement that remains legible to surveillance.
