What Security Officer (Casino) work looks like in practice
A Casino Security Officer patrols premises, controls restricted access, supports cash movements and responds to safety, disorder or exclusion matters. Terms should cover licensing where applicable, radios, keys, searches, removals, restraint boundaries, intoxication, first response, CCTV liaison, police contact and evidence. The officer should use proportionate methods and record facts, without treating customer value, appearance or gambling losses as grounds for arbitrary intervention. Access overrides should identify the secured door, requesting manager and reason rather than relying on radio memory. After an intervention, welfare, medical attention and evidence preservation should be considered separately from whether the customer ultimately leaves the premises. Patrol records should identify inaccessible areas and the reason coverage was missed.
Individually written and reviewed against the maintained role record.
