The Employee must perform Healthcare Assistant (HCA) duties with reasonable skill, care and professionalism, including Support patient care tasks only within training, competence and delegated authority. Assist with observations, personal care, mobility or treatment support where authorised. Maintain accurate patient care records, handover notes and incident information.
The Employee must not disclose, copy, remove, misuse or access patient records, care notes, observation records, safeguarding information, special category health data except where authorised and necessary for proper healthcare assistant (hca) work. Any suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure must be reported promptly.
The Employee must follow the human health operational controls that apply to healthcare assistant (hca) work, including delegated clinical procedures, patient dignity, infection control, safeguarding escalation, data protection, accurate record keeping, escalation and safe working requirements.
The Employee must protect patient records, care notes, observation records, safeguarding information, special category health data and any related personal data, operational records, system access details or confidential information accessed while performing healthcare assistant (hca) duties.
