Day-to-day operating brief
What Boom lift Rental (Scissor) work looks like in practice
A Boom and Scissor Lift Rental worker prepares mobile elevating work platforms, delivers them and may provide customer familiarisation within competence. Terms should cover pre-hire inspection, charging or fuel, tyres, emergency lowering, transport restraint, ground and access observations, keys, manuals, damage and recovery. The worker should not certify an operator through familiarisation alone, select a machine for unassessed use or unload where gradient, overhead hazards or ground bearing are unsuitable. Return inspection should compare tyre or track damage, guardrails, platform controls, emergency systems and hour-meter readings against dispatch evidence. Where a customer reports an intermittent fault, the machine should remain quarantined until competent diagnosis; a successful single reset is not sufficient proof of safe release.
Individually written and reviewed against the maintained role record.
