The Employee must perform Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) duties with reasonable skill, care and professionalism, including Provide safe patient care within competence, training and delegated authority. Record observations, treatment support, care notes, medicines support or clinical information accurately where authorised. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, infection control and safeguarding standards.
The Employee must not disclose, copy, remove, misuse or access patient records, care notes, medicine records, safeguarding information, special category health data, handover information except where authorised and necessary for proper student veterinary nurse (svn) work. Any suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure must be reported promptly.
The Employee must follow the veterinary operational controls that apply to student veterinary nurse (svn) work, including NMC standards where applicable, clinical governance, infection control, patient dignity, safeguarding escalation, accurate record keeping, escalation and safe working requirements.
The Employee must protect patient records, care notes, medicine records, safeguarding information, special category health data, handover information and any related personal data, operational records, system access details or confidential information accessed while performing student veterinary nurse (svn) duties.
