Day-to-day operating brief
What Licence Compliance Manager work looks like in practice
A Licence Compliance Manager maintains oversight of the operator's licence obligations and coordinates evidence across product, finance, marketing, customer operations and technology. Terms should cover entities, jurisdictions, key-event processes, submissions, policy governance, change assessment, regulatory correspondence, audits and board reporting. The manager should not certify facts they have not verified or allow ownership of operational controls to migrate invisibly into the compliance team. The obligation register should link each requirement to operational evidence and a named first-line owner, not merely repeat regulatory wording. During acquisition or restructuring, entity and licence mapping should precede system migration so reporting responsibility does not disappear between legal and technical workstreams.
Individually written and reviewed against the maintained role record.
