The Employee must perform Pharmacy Dispenser (Vet Meds) duties with reasonable skill, care and professional judgement, including dispensing and supply of medicines, prescription review, clinical checks, patient counselling, medicines governance and escalation of clinical or dispensing concerns. The Employee must follow GPhC standards, pharmacy standard operating procedures and Responsible Pharmacist arrangements where applicable.
The Employee must not disclose, copy, remove, misuse or access patient medication records, prescription data, pharmacy records, controlled drugs records, consultation notes or dispensing incident information except where authorised and necessary for proper pharmacy dispenser (vet meds) work. Any suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure must be reported promptly.
The Employee must comply with GPhC professional standards, pharmacy standard operating procedures, Responsible Pharmacist notice and accountability arrangements where applicable, controlled drugs handling and records, medicines storage and governance, dispensing error procedures, patient counselling standards, training requirements, data protection rules, health and safety instructions and escalation routes for clinical or dispensing concerns.
The Employee must protect patient medication records, prescription information, consultation notes, pharmacy records, controlled drugs records, clinical queries, dispensing incidents, commercial pharmacy information and any personal data accessed during pharmacy work.
