Responsibilities reflected in the contract

A realistic working scenario

Before class, a carriage sticks and a participant reports new pain after treatment elsewhere. The instructor removes the reformer from use, adapts the class safely and avoids diagnosing the participant, referring them through the studio's suitability process.

Authority and escalation

• The instructor may adjust exercises within competence and stop use of defective equipment. Diagnosis, rehabilitation promises, equipment repair and participation against a material suitability concern require the studio or appropriate clinical route.
• May allocate routine work and make operational decisions only within documented staffing, financial, contractual and policy limits.

Supervision

• Supervise mounting transitions and technique.
• Allocate and review assigned work within delegated authority and escalate formal people matters through the Employer's procedures.
