Day-to-day operating brief
What Front-End Developer (HTML/CSS) work looks like in practice
A Marketing Front-End Developer builds landing pages, campaign experiences, email components or website changes using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The role works closely with creative and analytics teams while retaining responsibility for code quality, accessibility and secure delivery within scope. Terms should define repositories, environments, review, CMS access, tracking tags, third-party scripts, browsers, performance, customer data, equipment, remote work, incident support and intellectual property. Acceptance should cover keyboard use, focus, semantic headings, contrast and responsive reflow in addition to visual matching. Build dependencies and package changes need review because a small campaign component can affect wider security or performance. Secrets belong in managed configuration, not front-end bundles. Handover should document content-editing constraints, tracking hooks and rollback, enabling marketers to operate the page without breaking tested structure.
