Day-to-day operating brief
What Marketing Coordinator (General) work looks like in practice
A Marketing Coordinator keeps campaigns moving by maintaining plans, arranging suppliers and events, collecting assets, tracking approvals and preparing reports across several channels. The role coordinates rather than owns overall strategy or specialist channel decisions. Terms should define campaign scope, systems, office or hybrid work, supplier and purchase authority, contact data, content calendars, events, travel, samples, performance records and escalation when dependencies slip. Asset registers should identify channel, format, owner, rights expiry and current approval state so teams do not reuse an attractive but obsolete file. Supplier bookings need deliverable acceptance and cancellation terms recorded before deadlines. Event attendee information should be limited to operational need. Weekly status should surface decisions and dependencies, not create a long activity list that conceals which launch element lacks an accountable owner. Campaign cancellation should stop scheduled assets, supplier work and data transfers promptly, with committed costs and reusable rights reported to the budget owner.
Individually written and reviewed against the maintained role record.
